Unfortunately, even savvy buyers often believe some real estate myths.
It's no surprise certain real estate myths are so common. They've been around a long time and it's easy to pick them up through word of mouth. Some real estate myths were truths once upon a time. However, real estate changes quickly – and it's important to move with the times.
To make things even more complicated, the coronavirus pandemic has changed real estate in a very short time. Buyers and sellers around Long Island need to be aware of how COVID-19 has shaped the local market, but it's also crucial not to overcorrect.

One great way to enjoy the outdoors around Long Island is to seek out the local bike trails. Our REALTORS® have several great suggestions for enjoying the amenities in our area, which are a real asset to the Long Island lifestyle.

Heckscher State Park- Heckscher Parkway Field 1, East Islip, NY 11730
Cycle the 4.5-mile flat trail for a panoramic view of Great South Bay. Watch for the nests of ospreys, a sea hawk, that tower over the park campground, and over the trail near Field 7. This 1600-acre former 19th-century estate also shelters white-tail deer and a variety of other birds. The park, originally opposed by local residents, represented public official Robert Moses's toughest fight to ensure the availability of public lands on Long Island. East Islip homes for sale are conveniently located near the trail and other amenities of Heckscher.

Everyone wants to live in a beautiful home. Warm weather means that most homeowners are making their way into the home improvement stores and dialing up contractors for those special projects around the house. Whether you plan to spend a little or a lot, our REALTORS® want you to get the most for your investment. Some remodeling projects are worth their weight in gold, while others will return pennies on the dollar. It's important to know which is which before you make your plans.
You'll never get every penny you spend on remodeling back when you put the home on the market. However, the following will give you between 60-70% return. Where these investments are most valuable is in the foot traffic they'll generate from the listing.

Our REALTORS® are seeing more homeowners enjoy the benefits of a backyard fire pit. Gathering around a warm fire with your family is an excellent way to spend an evening. When using a fire pit, safety should always be your priority.
Whether you already own a fire pit or getting ready to install one, precautionary measures are necessary for your safety.
